These Cufflinks are made with vintage Zaria Clockwork.

The Zaria watch movement has its roots in the industrialization of the Soviet Union pre-World War II. Back then, the Penza Watch Factory was the French watch manufacturer, LIP, which was facing financial problems in 1936. By 1940, the Penza Third State Watch Factory had taken possession of the LIP company and turned it into a factory focusing on small-sized ladies’ movements and the production of tools and equipment for the watchmaking industry. As World War II began to escalate, the Penza Third State Watch Factory had become a military factory creating mortars, mine fuses, and other military equipment halting the production of commercial goods completely. It wasn’t until the end of World War II in 1945 that the factory began producing civilian goods again, specifically timepieces. By 1949 the factory exclusively made ladies calibers, including the watch brand Zaria. Now, the Zaria brand embodies a multitude of different brands such as the Junost, Kometa, Lux, and Zvezda. Zaria exports goods to over 52 countries worldwide and have produced millions of watches.
